Oakwell Chickens

We are in the process of starting to breed our own chickens, with the intention of providing you with sturdy, healthy hybrids to create friendly starter flocks suitable for any keeper.

Unfortunately this is taking longer than we had initially hoped with the ongoing Avian Influenza outbreaks and lockdowns. It means all of our birds are restricted to living under cover, and increasing our flock sizes by breeding or purchasing new birds would impact our current birds negatively; either by creating cramped living conditions, or risking exposing them to disease. This is a difficult time for all bird keepers alike, including rescuers and rehabbers.
